What it makes
A straight union joins two lengths of gutter end to end. An angle joint turns a corner at any angle from 60° to 180°.
Angles are given the way shops sell them: 90° is a square corner and 180° is straight, so a 45° bend is 135° here. The same angle part works on inside and outside corners.
Rounded or mitred corners
A rounded corner keeps the channel the same size all the way round, so water flows smoothly. A mitred corner is shorter and looks like a shop-bought angle.
Printing it
- Print the 10mm fit test ring first and snap it onto an offcut.
- Union: stand it up with the profile on the bed. A brim helps. No supports.
- Angle: it comes upside down, with the top edges on the bed. Tree supports inside the bowl only.
- Seal with exterior silicone or gutter sealant in the grooves.
Questions
Will a 90° angle fit on my printer?
Yes for standard 112mm gutter on a 220mm bed. The summary under the settings warns you if the arms get too long for most beds.
Can I make a 45° bend?
Yes. Set the angle to 135°, which is a 45° change of direction.
